When we made the first investment into Tulip in 2015, it was clear to Hank and I that we were early. It was going to take some time, but that massive legacy industries had no idea the amount of innovation and value was out there, waiting to be won by companies that could master software and machine intelligence. These observations and others led us to develop two investment theses we’ve been executing on since; what we termed “New Industrials.” Fast forward 10 years and the idea that a broader industrial reinvention is underway is now almost a given across the capital markets and leading companies. A movement has sprung up around us. It’s much more in vogue to back physical technology startups now, but most investors misunderstand what great ones look like, and how numerous the barriers to adoption are. We’re fortunate to benefit from a decade of lessons and insights from watching up close as incredible founding teams have built immensely valuable organizations, these include Stoke Space, Radiant, Formlabs, Atomic Industries, Applied Atomics, Harbinger, Dirac, Inc., Rainmaker Technology Corporation, AnySignal, EthonAI, Flow Engineering, Milvus Advanced, Rivelin Robotics, Adaptyv, KMB Telematics Inc., Tactian, Nimble Precision, sensmore, Hyperdrives, Ethos Space Resources, Antaris, TransAstra, Rightbot Technologies, Provectus Algae, Arctoris, Flexe, Coronal Technologies, Exapto, Visolis, Vorticity Inc., XENOPS AI, and many others. My takeaway from 10 years of investing in industrial reinvention is that we are still at the beginning. We have a long way to go and the next 10 years will move a lot faster than the last. Thanks to our founders for the continued trust and partnership. 153 13 条评论Osama U. Draper House Americas • 5282 位关注者Today we officially kick off our $2M pre seed round for Salubrum (Backed by Forum Ventures), supported by Forum Ventures, Coeus Collective Ventures, and Draper House Americas. Healthcare companies spend over $30B a year trying to acquire patients. The problem is not media. The problem is timing. Every time a patient approaches a healthcare decision a moment opens. Which doctor to see. Which procedure to pursue. Which treatment to start. For the companies involved in that decision, knowing that moment exists is incredibly valuable. Salubrum (Backed by Forum Ventures) is building the intelligence layer that maps those decision moments across the U.S. patient population. Our system aggregates large healthcare datasets covering 300M+ patient identities and uses them to predict when individuals are approaching important healthcare decisions. That signal can then be used by providers, pharma companies, payers, and other healthcare organizations trying to reach patients at the right time. Our first wedge is patient acquisition for healthcare providers and brands, but the underlying intelligence layer has much broader applications wherever patient behavior influences economic decisions. Over the past months we have quietly built the foundation. • Early pilots validating our patient intent scoring system • Distribution partnerships forming across healthcare platforms • Backed by Forum Ventures, Coeus Collective Ventures, Draper House Americas, NEXT Canada and Metta World Peace Starting tomorrow we will be meeting investors as part of the Forum Ventures showcase. Last week I shared a post introducing the CoLaborator Capital Backstop™ System and the idea of creating a more collaborative approach to growth and acquisitions. A few people asked a good question afterward: “What does this actually mean for operators and business owners?” Here’s the reality we keep seeing across manufacturing, logistics, and distribution: Great businesses often reach a point where the next stage of growth becomes difficult to pursue alone. Sometimes it’s because: • expansion capital is limited • acquisitions require additional partners • leadership bandwidth becomes stretched • succession planning starts entering the conversation • strategic opportunities appear that are bigger than one company can pursue independently At the same time, there are many operators, searchers, and investors actively looking to partner with strong companies in these industries. The challenge isn’t opportunity. The challenge is connecting the right people in the right structure at the right time. That’s the reason we began developing the CoLaborator Capital Backstop™ concept. The goal isn’t to act like a broker or intermediary. Instead, the idea is to build a collaboration platform where operators, owners, and acquisition partners can explore things like: • strategic partnerships • tuck-in acquisitions • roll-up participation • growth capital opportunities • succession pathways that preserve leadership continuity We are currently spending a lot of time speaking with leaders in: Manufacturing Logistics Distribution Industrial Services If you’re an operator or owner in one of these industries, I’d genuinely enjoy hearing about what you’re building and where you see the next phase of growth going. Sometimes the most valuable thing is simply starting the conversation early. — Virgil Andry Founder & CEO CoLaborator, Inc. thecolaborator.com #manufacturing #logistics #supplychain #entrepreneurship #partnerships #businessdevelopment 10 14 条评论Emery Waddell Vocap Investment Partners • 3947 位关注者What’s old is new. From our first meeting with Shipangel's founders Graham Parker and Dan Healy, their earned view of the market jumped off the page - which is one of our two most important founder traits. Graham had recently sold his company to one of the biggest, legacy players in the space at Descartes Systems and was fired up about building an AI-native competitor -- global TMS software should actually work for modern shippers. It is a market with more than five $1B+ legacy incumbents. But when you break it into core components like rate shopping, booking, and order audit, these map directly to where foundation models 🤖 are strongest. A purpose-built AI-native platform only gets better over time, both in workflow and in implementation, which has historically been the Achilles heel for startups in this space. ShipAngel is earning the trust of F500 shippers who treat global TMS selection as a core, long-term business decision - and we are excited for road ahead. If you see them this week at Manifest - make sure to check them out. 🚀 #SupplyChain #LogisticsTech #TMS #VerticalAI #EnterpriseSoftware #FreightTech #Manifest2026 23 1 条评论Lior Susan Eclipse • 3万 位关注者Reshoring manufacturing to the U.S. hinges entirely on advances in automation and robotics—and those advances, in turn, rely on next-generation tools like integrated development environments, foundation models, smart robotics skills, and flexible automation platforms. GreenIRR operates in Brooklyn, New York, and is based in Westport, Connecticut. GreenIRR’s cloud-native platform ingests, normalizes and assures primary vehicle data and produces regulation-compliant, trucking-specific analytics. GreenIRR’s dashboard gives carriers and enterprise shippers visibility into vehicle, fleet, and contracted network data, enabling faster, automated Scope-3 transport disclosures and operational efficiency improvements. “GreenIRR’s vehicle-level approach, rapid, integrations, and audit-ready outputs address a clear market need and create a scalable pathway to help shippers and carriers meet regulatory and procurement demands," said Jim Aroune, co-founder of Brown and White Ventures. "Our fund finds great opportunity in GreenIRR's mission." “As trucking carriers face mounting pressure from customers, regulators, and stakeholders to report their fleet emissions, GreenIURR provides a simple, turnkey, cost-effective software platform that can handle all carbon accounting needs and be up and running in a matter of weeks,” said GreenIRR CEO Celine King. GreenIRR has demonstrated rapid time – to – value with mid market customers. In one case study with Daybreak Express, GreenIRR reduced the time to produce customer emissions reports and supported measurable fleet savings and a 160 metric-ton monthly carbon dioxide reduction. GreenIRR integrates with major telematics and fuel providers and currently covers an estimated 65 percent of U.S. trucking activity. #Trucking #Emissions #Intelligence #CarbonFootprint #Innovation 50 4 条评论Weston Ginn VC Lab • 2690 位关注者I keep hearing that Florida doesn't have a real tech ecosystem. I've spent the last few months actively mapping it through the VC Lab Venture Institute, and here's what I've found: it's small, but it's real, and the people building it are serious. Sarasota and Tampa have a growing bench of early-stage investors like Florida Funders, Rework Capital, and Suncoast Venture Studio. There are accelerators like Tampa Bay Wave and Embarc Collective producing real companies. Groups like Bridge Angel Investors are creating structured ways for local investors to back founders. And there's a wave of founders who chose to build here instead of moving to SF. But there's a gap: true pre-seed capital is pretty rare in this market. Plenty of firms will write a $500K seed check. Few are writing the first $100-150K check to a founder with a prototype and conviction but no revenue. That gap is an opportunity. The founders I've been meeting here are technical, scrappy, and solving real problems in AI, robotics, and advanced materials. They just need someone willing to take the earliest risk. If you're building in these spaces in Florida or anywhere, I want to hear from you! #venturecapital #tampabaytech #sarasotabusiness #VCLab #emergingmanagers #AIinfrastructure 29 20 条评论Daniel Dart Rock Yard Ventures • 9736 位关注者🚨NEW EPISODE: Recorded live at FUTURE TITANS 2026 - Jeff Perry of Carta sat down with the iconic Seth Levine, co-founder of Foundry.
